Fertility Treatments at Fyne IVF.
InVitro Fertilisation (IVF)
A treatment where eggs and sperm are combined outside the body in a laboratory dish. The resulting embryos are then implanted into the mother’s womb.
How It Works

Check-up

Ovarian Stimulation

Egg Retrieval

Sperm Preparation

Co-Incubation

Fertilisation

Embryo

Embryo Transfer

Pregnancy Test
IVF is a recommended solution for couples facing
Poor sperm quality and/or quantity
Tubal block
Ovulation problems
Sperm-egg interaction problems
Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)
A fertility procedure where sperm is directly placed into a woman’s womb during ovulation to increase the chances of fertilisation.
How It Works

Semen Collection
The semen sample, collected through ejaculation into a sterile cup, is sent to the lab for processing.

Processing
In the lab, the sperm is washed and prepared for insemination.

Insemination
The washed sperm is injected directly into the uterus with a catheter (thin tube).

Check Results
After step 3, there's a 2 week waiting period. After 2 weeks a pregnancy test is done to check the results.
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Difficulty in conception is commonly associated with female infertility. However, challenges in sperm penetration can also impact pregnancy.
In such cases, one can opt for ICSI which involves directly injecting a single sperm into the egg.
The egg collection process is similar to IVF. On the day we collect the eggs, the husband is requested to provide a semen sample. This sample is prepared and specifically used for micro-manipulation of the eggs using ICSI.
How It Works

Holding Egg/Oocyte
A specialised pipette secures the mature egg.

Sperm Selection
A fine, sharp needle selects a single sperm.

Injection
The needle pierces the egg’s shell (zona) to help the sperm enter its cytoplasm.

Sperm Release
Sperm is released into the cytoplasm.

Fertilisation
The next day, the eggs are examined for signs of successful fertilisation.
Eligibility Criteria for Treatment
Previous IVF Failure or Low Fertilisation Incidence
Abnormal semen analysis
Minimal sperm volume
Laser-assisted Hatching
IVF success doesn’t solely rely on egg fertilisation. Sometimes, embryos fail to attach to the womb after transfer, which leads to failure.
Laser-assisted hatching is a scientific IVF technique that enables the embryo to “hatch” or break through its outer layer or “shell” by creating an opening.
How It Works

Laser Application
3 days post fertilisation, a focused laser beam is directed at the embryo to create an opening in the embryo shell.
Embryo Transfer
The embryo is transferred to the uterus for implantation and further growth.
Who Should Opt for Assisted Hatching?
Individuals over 37 years of age
Those with poor egg quality due to high FSH levels
Those who have experienced unsuccessful IVF cycles
Cases involving challenges with embryo hatching and implantation due to a thicker or harder zona pellucida
Advantages of LAH
Minimal embryo handling
Precise and rapid shell opening control
Gentle and safe procedure with no negative effects on the embryo
Widely available with tailored clinical guidance based on the patient’s circumstances
Blastocyst Culture
A specific technique within IVF or ICSI process to optimise embryo selection and improve the chances of a successful implantation.

Fertilisation & Cell Division
Once the embryo is formed after fertilisation, the embryonic cells divide and multiply over 5 to 6 days.

Blastocyst Formation
Embryos develop into blastocysts.

Cell Differentiation
At the blastocyst stage, cells differentiate into “inner cell mass” (developing into a baby) and “trophectoderm”(developing into placenta and gestational sac).

Transfer
Embryos are transferred at the blastocyst stage for higher implantation rates and increased chances of pregnancy.
Advantages of Blastocyst Culture

Higher implantation rate

Improved pregnancy rates

Selective development

Better timing for implantation

Enhanced embryo selection

Reduced risk of multiple gestations

Improved IVF outcome
